The Breakfast Club provides care for children every day during term-time from 7.45am until the start of the school day.
The Breakfast Club is open to all children in full-time education at Chase Lane Primary School.
The Breakfast Club is based in the hall and is available for all children from Reception to Year 6.
At Breakfast Club the children are offered a breakfast cereal, toast, fresh fruit and a drink, and are free to participate, under the supervision of the staff, in a range of free play and structured activities. Younger children are then escorted into their classroom.
The Club is run on a day to day basis by Learning Support Assistants and Welfare Assistants, under the supervision of the Head Teacher.
The Rules of the Breakfast Club are in place to ensure safety, consideration for others and care of the premises and equipment.
Breakfast Club staff encourage good behaviour through praise and appreciation of children’s achievements. There will be high expectations with regard to behaviour. If a child is continually disruptive she/he may be asked to leave the Breakfast Club for a ‘cooling off’ period.
